Intelius in Chicago, Illinois - Intellius

I too used Intellius for an email search, was charged the $1.95 to my cc as agreed. When I was looking at my statement on line, I noticed a charge for $19.95 from Intellius. I called them and told them I had not agreed tot his, and I remembered I unchecked the box in the lower left part of there page. The gentleman I got was very nice, said the charge would be removed and he gave me a reference number if I had to call back, which I did not. In two days, my cc had been credited. I consider myself lucky, I guess if you catch it quickly, you can get it fixed easier. The number I called was 1-877-974-1563. I hope you all have the same success I did. Remember, look at your statement on line weekly to check for fraudulent charges.

If you sign up with intelius.com look for a valmax charge on your credit card

I used intelius.com to look for old classmates for my high school reunion. Two days after I signed up with intelius, I received a charge from Valuemax123.com. On my credit card statement the merchant name is listed as Valmax. They have been charging me $24.95 for the past 4 months, but I have finally caught on. I don't know what service this "company" provides, but according to their customer service rep., when I signed up for Intelius I filled out a survey that automatically enrolled me in Valuemax's monthly billing scam. That is a blatent lie. I have never filled out an online survey in my life. I have reported this scam to the Department of Justice's internet fraud division and I encourage others who have been scammed to do the same.

Intelius in Colorado Springs, Colorado - Intellius charged my credit cart $19.95 for nothing!!

This company deserves a class action suit in my opinion. They charged my credit card $19.95 for nothing that I can find!! This is Saturday and when I called in to complain they are closed. I see there are other complaints so Monday I will call in and complain myself. These people should be put out of business. Who can we report this to to cause them to have to answer to someone??? I can see why they are closed on the weekend so they can spend the multiple $19.95's they collected from all the innocent people they cheated.

Intelius IDProtect no full refund

They make it easy to accept the IDProtect service by accident. They give you a hard time when trying to explain and get a refund. I was charged for two months I only got one month refund, at the time there was only one month showing on my credit card for aug, thinking that was the refund I got until I got my next statement to see another charge for Sept. They claim Sept was the refund and I basically have to eat the Aug. Their service for people search information in only about 50% correct. Alot is old information that you can find on other sites for free and usually more up to date. Will never recommend again.

This company plays the usual tricks to get you to sign up for a trial. They then charge your CC for 19.95 and refuse to refund or even respond to email. AVOID!!! Total Scam. You then need to contact your bank to try and have the charges reversed. Also, data they have...

Mr. James, you are obviously an intelius.com troll. When I signed up with intelius.com, in order to find old classmates for our 20 year reunion, I did not sign up for Valuemax...

Intelius in Memphis, Tennessee - Same Complaint as others.

Beware of intelius, they now share your information with with something called my saving ace or some *** like that. Saving Ace did however issue me a refund where Intelius would not. Fortunately, I had Amex and they gave me my credit. I see all of the very negative comments and figure out how to shut them down. The savings ace were quick to satisfy my request and anxious to get off the phone. The little smart *** at intelius wanted to try to tell me everything I did wrong and she would give me free reports. Your credit cared company is your best ally here and should use them to challenge the billing instead of getting worked up as i did. Beware if Intelius and Saving Ace.

Intelius.com ripped me off

I ordered a criminal records check for use in court; the person I requested the information about is currently in jail, and has been several other times over the last 8 years. Intelius makes this claim: What is included in a Criminal Check? A Criminal Report includes instant access to records of criminal convictions, felonies, misdemeanors, sex offenses and other criminal offenses associated with a name. I ordered the report; there were zero results. I went online to the court website and found several of them, so I called Intelius and they told me they only promise to give the information THEY have available, so I asked if they basically scam people into paying and they don't have to ever give out any info because they don't bother to look it up, and she said that was right; they only promise to give you a report, not do any due diligence.

i am very angry that people can debit your account, when they do it under handed, and everyone can not be *** with your ignorant self if they have the same problem. Instead of being understanding you are being ignorant about things that are important to other people. ...
