Tried to get a background check on a person. Not looking for anything serious, but just whether the 'story' I was told would hold up (addresses, employers, etc.). I am not pissed that Intelius did not have this information. I am pissed that led me to believe...

Intelius SCAM

Intelius is a SCAM. I just discovered they have been charging my card 9.95 for the past 5 months and I never signed up for there service. I called and made a complaint and she said all she could refund was 2 months. I will not stop harassing, posting, blogging and will even bring them to court if I have to. I will not rest until I get all of my money back and either shoudl anyone else. After all the reviews I have seen I cannot believe that they are getting away with this. The woman on the phone was rude and told me that her manager does not speak to customers and had the nerve to also say that her agents do not make mistakes. UNBELIEVABLE!

Intelius founder blog site

Hello everyone. As of right now i have been fighting with Intelius, the scam so many have heard of. They are deceptive, manipulative, and whats more, are proud they made about 18 million dollars in a quarter last year. Im tired of it, so not only have i found Naveens personal blog(the founder of Intelius, which he is very prouc of by the way,) I thought it would be good for everyone to do a little posting on it if it has affected your life in one way or another. http://www.naveenjain.biz/ Please however, do not post any obscene manner, threats or otherwise on this mans site. Lets see how long he keeps it open until he cant take it anymore. Starting date, 02/04/2011/ time, 2:37 p.m. How will update this regulary until my personal site is up and running, with a counting timer. I will post when its ready.

Intelius is a rip off!

Like others have mentioned, intelius pad their charges and my $6.95 purchase turned about to be $26.95 (they tacked on an additional $19.95). Plus the information was not current and their were no phone numbers (as they has stated there were). If you need a background done use someone else or pay close attention to your bank statement! These guys are thieves! Paying someone else a little more may insure that you won't get billed extra like I did. Also, since the information I requested was old, the search was for nothing. Beware of this company!

Intelius in Naperville, Illinois - 19.95 charge for something not authorized!

I was charged $19.95 for something I did not order via my debit card. I did use the card for $1.95 and was charged that and on the same date, $19.95 for I don't know what! I want my $$ back What kind of scam is this? To see who really looks at their bank statements? Well, guess what, I do! I used it on 1/13/11 to find an address of a person but once I found that, I needed nothing else. So, I don't understand the $19.95 charge! Please refund my money.

Intelius Scam - They can go hang with animals

I've been trying to get an automated billing stopped with my friends at intelius. Let see, started politely in Sept, then got quite rude in December. Even suggested they go hang out back with animals and try buttsex. Had a few minutes today to call them. Makes you feel good when you light them up, make their fax machine explode / catch on fire, do a concall with the bank accussing them of fruad, etc. all at once. *** these people. They deserve AIDS. Intelius is a scam organization. Spread the word of these turds. If it was legal to put sterno in their coffee I would have. *** them.

Intelius is a scam

I thought I was looking up a number for 95 cents instead they charged me $19.95 for a membership and another $19.95 for identity protection. I did not authorize any of this and they will not refund my money. When I called to to deny purchasing, Intelius would not refund my money and then got very defensive when I asked them if this was a scam. Now I am out forty dollars for looking up one phone number. Visa would help me either. This company is a scam. BEWARE I am going to report them to my state's attorney general's office. That probably won't work either.
