When you do business with Intelius read everything carefully. Do not assume you know what you are agreeing to without reading EVERY word and understanding fully. ** The promo...

Intelius in Raleigh, North Carolina - Company charged me for a report that they did not deliver the information

The company Intelius charged me for a report and then they did not give me the information they said they had, and then they charged me 19.95 for some scam protection progra. They took my credit card for the information report, then they charged me for something I did not want, with the bull *** of you have a free 7 days, and if you do not cancel in 7 days we will continue to charge your credit card. They are scam artists, stealing from customers, and my credit card. Do not do business with this company Intelius for sure.

Intelius- even if you carefully read the websiten you might be surprised what you are charged

I thought I was during a one time check on where a couple of old time friends were. Indeed, I got charged (to my credit card, of course) for two searches (both of with had out of date data) at $2.95 each. But, I also got charged $19.95. I wrote off the charge as just another scam but when I found that others have complained about Intelius and I read the complaints I found out (from one of the complainers) that the $19.95 charge was a monthly charge and since Intelius has my credit card number the charge would be made every month. Of course I would have picked up the charge on my credit card bill but not until it had been charged again. I called Intelius and (hopefully) canceled the account. When I complained about the non-clarity of the instructions on their website I was simply told "well, you approved the conditions of use". The end result (perhaps, unless another charge is made to my account) is that I paid almost $26 to look up two addresses/phone numbers that were apparently grossly outdated. Be very careful if you use the services of Intelius.

Intelius continues to defraud the public

Like so many others I was the victim of a scam by Intelius. I purchased a $0.99 information search (which in the end turned out to be useless). Then my credit card account was debited for 2 months in a row for $19.99 for some kind of *** security protection service. Intleius knows this is a fraud and many irate customers are on to them, but apparently they continue to bilk the public. I'm amazed that they are still in business with such flagrantly fraudulent practices. I intend to pursue Intelius, have them investigated and prosecuted for internet theft.

Intelius Scam

Intelius is a super scam that double bills by cleverly splitting services so the user thinks he is paying for a comprehensive single-pay service. These thugs are the antithesis of the "keep it simple" approach to communication, rising to the top of CAST (confuse and stick it to them). Be sure to get written confirmation of your scam enrollment. Will have no confidence that subscription was actually cancelled until I get my next credit card bill. Most of the information they provide is available free on the web so smart consumers will pass up Intelius and do it themselves.

Intelius in Portland, Oregon - Fraudulently signed me up for $19.95 per mo identity protection

All I did was order a background report. They signed me up for an identity protection package that I did not order! I pride myself in being very vigilant and usually very good at spotting scams and shady loopholes for getting suckered into such subscriptions, but they obviously did a very good job of burying it into the 'Legalese' of my purchase. I would suggest not even doing business with them since it's not apparent at all where this little 'catch' is in the order process. I am disputing this with my bank and am going to report them to the attorney general in Oregon.

Intelius in Beaumont, Texas - Intellus rip off. paid one report and got billed every month

i wasa looking for a relative and paid for one month. the report had five-yearold records, which was no help. thewn Intellus billed me four month in a row for services i did not use or want. It's a rip off!!when I tried to contact them they were not responsive and it took two more months to try and get the billing stopped. I was tricked into a membership when their advertisement stated I could pay for just one report. The information was not compleat and to get more info I was asked to pay $49.00 more.

Intelius in Arlington, Texas - They are putting out inaccurate information of who I'm related to

My name is Renee Willard,& intelius is causing me to get all kinds of telemarketing & bill collecting phone calls from people claiming to want to get ahold of someone by the last name of Northam..I have never been related to anyone by this name..I found out recently that this is the last (maiden name) of my x-husbands wife,I haven't been married to him(Leonard Stout) in over 7 years & I resent being connected to him or her..I'm getting phone calls just about every day for Teresa stout or Northam, mostly automated so I can't let the truth be know..

Intelius ripped me off

I paid for the full report on a renter and got old addresses. There was no credit report included and no criminal report. I was able to get her criminal report on my own from the state in just a few min. Then when I went to pay for it, I found that I had signed up for Id theft protection which I then had to cancel, and did not notice that I was registered to be a continual customer and charged another 20 a month for 2 months before I caught it. The did refund the last month but not the first. I would never use them again... and really watch what is checked before you go to pay.
