Intelius reverse cell phone lookup is a scam. They say records are found, but then once you pay, the name associated with the number is something useless like "washington cell". Well duh, I already knew where I lived and that is was a cell. I purchased a 5 pack...View full review
i used this service and it was total rip off. they took the five bucks and even though they said their search would provide at least a name, it did not. though the customer rep said it did until i say call "call Texas' is not a name. she said sorry computers can't read and thought it was a name. they try to get you to sign up for other things using what i consider shady methods, click yes here is you want your report and it signs you up for monthly fee or click no and get report.
I have been receiving unwarranted harrassing phone calls from some sort of collection agency. I have their phone number, and am trying to find the address so I can write them a letter to cease phoning my home. I went on the internet, and tried using a reverse phone number service with Intelius. Intelius advertised a one time fee of $4.99 for the service, but after I gave them my card info, they charged me over $10.00 and the information they gave me is incorrect. Phone number, and address do not match. Intelius, to my knowledge, offers no means of reversing charges for unsatisfactory service.
INTELIUS HAS OLD AND INACCURATE INFO
Do not use Intelius for researching people and information. Information is not accurate and they WILL NOT refund your money, even when you have proof... In researching a number that continually was calling me I used reverse number look up which promised name of person with phone number and place from which number was coming. All information was a scam and incorrect. They would not correct the problem and would not give back their fee. I believe them to be scamming people out of money knowinly and willingly. Should be a felony, Isnt this also like mail fraud, but internet fraud?
Intelius in Corpus Christi, Texas - They are stealing money from my checking account.
My Mother in law asked to borrow my debit card to look up her long lost son. Of course i couldnt deny her that since im the only one she knows with a debit card. She goes online and goes to this website called intellius, to look up information. We had a problem accessing the information so i called there office. They told me because of the inconvince they were going to provided my services for free which was only 95 cents to began with and throw in the identity theft program for free. Of course i thanked them and i didnt realize that something bad was going to happen. I recently looked at my bank statements thouroghly and realized that not only did they charge me the 95 cents for my services they also have been charging me ten dollars a month for and identity theft program that i never signed up for and that they said were gonna throw in for free. It isnt the ten dollars that im furious about its the priciple of the matter. How can someone give themselves permission to take money out of your accounts without you even knowing. I do not recommend this website to anyone.
Intelius in Locust Dale, Virginia - "related"to decade old/divored in-law? wrong
I called your data base to get my WRONG info changed. Intelius suggested I contact my local court house. I did, they directed me to the State. I did. What a nightmare! This INTELIUS is a well used data base. I decided to type in 10 people I KNOW. ONLY 1 person did you have correct information and THAT info was VERY OUTDated. Your data gathering is very outdated. Like to have listed as whO I am related to is OUTDATED by more than a DECADE. To list me as RELATED to my X IN MOTHER IN LAW !!!! an not even mention anyone in MY family or close to CURRENT is just PUREly unusable info. INTELIUS is OUTDATED and severely INHUMANE. If I were an employment/human resources clerk...I would ERASE Intelius from my tec system. If employers want up to date info Intelius is NOT is NOT is NOT where to go. Intelius CAUSES PROBLEMS and MORE SEARCHING, and even makes the new prospective employee look bad, by your INEPT data systems. Intelius needs to be SHUT DOWN NOW!!!! To "select a category" above does not even include "persons/idenity". Very lame!
Intelius in Saint Louis, Missouri - Signed me up for an identity protection plan without my permission
I recently did a people search through Intelius, for which I paid a couple of bucks. Little did I know that they automatically signed me up for their Identity Protection plan. When I agreed to pay the $2 people search fee I don't recall seeing anything that said that they were going to start charging me 9.95 a month for an additional service. I cancelled when I saw the e-mail that welcomed me to the Identity Protection, and was billed for after I cancelled it. I don't understand how this is legal. Do not use this service.
I have not given my permission to use any of the information you have posted on me. You dig up dirt, untrue facts and put it out to everyone to see. Facebook changed its program becasue of privacy issue complaints. When I put something on my facebook page or on...View full review
Intelius in Overland Park, Kansas - You all are idiots
If you can read , you'll have zero problems purchasing reports through intelius. Don't blame your stupidity on the company. They are more than fair and have excellent customer service. All you need to do is read the offers. If you do so, you're being a responsible consumer. I really don't understand how you can blame intelius. I purchase reports from them all the time and have no problems. They are legitimately doing business and provide a great service. They are open 6 days a week and offer support! Not just any support, support in the US!
Intelius: Thieves Disguised as a Legit Company
I went to Intelius.com intending to use their "people search" services and agreed to the 7-day "free" trial. The very next day, I cancelled my membership. Four months later I discovered that they had charged my bank account 6 times in the amount of $19.95 each time. I went online to check out my account w/ them and discovered that I was enrolled in their Identity Protect services. I did not intentionally sign-up for these services, nor was I aware that I had ever BEEN signed-up for these services. I cancelled the service immediately. A couple days later I called them to try and get a refund. No refund. No help. No NOTHING! I have filed complaints with the BBB, FTC, and my state's Attorney General. I found on the BBB website that there had been government action taken against the company in the past. I also called my bank to have them try and reverse the charges (don't really trust them either, they're a bunch of crooks, too, B of A). If there's ever a class action lawsuit, count me in!
