Ripoff supreme. intelius provides inccurate info and will not give refund.
I have used Intelius for the reverse phone look up service. On at least three occasions, I have found that their info is not accurate. I called their customer disservice department, who informed me that they do not guarantee the accuracy of their information, nor give refunds. Avoid them like the plague. This is a ripoff of the first order. I called and asked for a refund, and got a very charming woman who talked nothing but bologna when I explained the situation. They said that they are an aggregator of public records, but they do not create them. Apparently, they also do not bother to check on the currency of them. Please save your money.
Intelius is a scam! Do NOT use!
In my case I was looking up information on a phone number. Not only did I not get an information on the caller (but charged regardless), but was also charged a $20 monthly subscription fee. Their services are a bull *** scheme to get your money. DO NOT USE!!! For anyone that is experiencing a similar situation. You don't need to call customer service to cancel your subscription as stated by Intelius. Just log in to their website, click on manage services and cancel your subscription. b s b s b s b s b s b s bs

Useless results from intelius
I used the site to get results on someone who made contact with my family that we had a brief friendship over 40 years ago. They made contact and I wanted to get a general overview of what they had done over the period of time. I paid the $49+ for the report after getting a match when entering the name and address. The results were useless. It provided me with name some relatives names a picture of the house which the address I already knew and could have seen on Google. It provided me with no work history, education, criminal checks, marriage, or anything else that I could have gotten on the Internet. This is a useless scam and should not be used by anyone trying to obtain information. I tried to get some information on relatives who may have died but even that was not given. It provided me with a co-owner of a home who had died over a year ago. Their records are not up to date. Sorry I did not see this site before I wasted my money.

Intelius - How to fight back
Hello, To get your money back: 1 – Contact your bank and file a complaint with them FIRST 2 – Contact the BBB and file a complaint against Inteliius https://www.bbb.org/file-a-complaint/ Use the following: Business name: Intelius Location: Bothell, WA 98041 3 – Contact the Washington state D.A office http://www.atg.wa.gov/fileacomplaint.aspx Take the time to read this link: http://tinyurl.com/3h4x5gq 4 – Prepare a list of chain of events (when you used their services, charges date etc. in short be ready. 5 – Contact Intelius (425) 974-6100 The first level of operator is not capable of doing anything other than refunding the first 19.95 Ask for the supervisor to reach a higher level. State clearly what you want and tell the person you have filed complaints to both the BBB and the state D.A. This is what I did. I got my money back PLUS the 99 cents that I did not dispute. Good luck. PS: This works for most companies. You may want to do some internet research to find more about the problem you have, you certainly are not alone. The complaint to a state atorney is extreme and justified only if you find MANY complaints over the same thing that involve $$$ or goods not as promised or never delivered. USE WITH CARE.

Intelius in Clarksburg, West Virginia - You do not get what you pay for.
They do not tell you up front that some states won't release information to them such as marital status, divorce. You find this out after you pay the 49.95 and just get basic information. The information that is provides to you, you can get for free. Nothing in my report was of any use to me. They won't refund your money, so save your self some money and do not use this site. I would not recommend using this site to anyone, yes I am very upset I just wasted $49.95 for a report that is worthless.
Intelius Identity Protect not a good product
When I used Intelius reverse phone number lookup, I was tricked into a free trial for their Identity Protect Plan at $19.95 per month. I thought I canceled out, but I got charged for 2 months. I also had Identity protection from my Discover Card. I received numerous letters from Discover Card about credit report activity alert from Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion. I just applied for a new Sears credit card, and it was listed. I did not receive any reports sent to me by the Intelius Identity Protect Plan. The Discover Card has a much better plan, for less money.
