Intelius is terrible
I did a reverse lookup for a phone number that was harassing me with text messages. It returned with an 87 year old woman living in Florida. Im 99.99% sure its not her texting me little messages. They also trick you into buying additional features without you realizing it. Customer support said they can not do anything to help. Its basically the same thing if you search the phone number on an internet browser, except it wont cost you anything to search on the internet! Dont use Intelius. In my opinion, its a scam, it seduces you into thinking they have information, but it just searches the web, which you can do for free!
Intelius is a scam!!
Do not use this service!!!! I just paid $44.95 for nothing. They said that they had a report available. I paid the $44.95 then all of a sudden they had no records. I know for a fact the person I was searching has a criminal record, I just needed a copy of it. So this is a clear indication that this company is a scam. Now they will not let me remove my personal information from their site without faxing a copy of my ID to them. What kind of *** is that! This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with any online service, I will tell everyoe I know not to use them!!! I am so mad!!!!
Absolutely do not use this service! I paid $44.95 for nothing, it is a scam. They said they had records and after I paid said they had none. I know for a fact the man has a criminal record so I know this site is a scam as it sayd no records found. Now it will not let me take my information off their site! They want me to fax a photo ID to get my credit card information off of their site. This is by far the worst experience I have had with an online service!!!!! I will tell everyone I know DO OT USE THIS SERVICE ITS BULLCRAP!!!!!!
I did a reverse phone number search and it would not pull up the name or address but it gave me a map of the area where the phone was billed. Intelius said it could guarantee the information (a name and address)to me or there would not be a charge. I was charges $4.95...View full review
Strange Email from Intelius
My sister wrote to Intelius to ask some questions about signing up. She got a response from them on how to go on their website and which links to click on. But, the website they gave my sister was www.xxx.com . That is a *** website. My sister and I both called them to complain and I forwarded the email to them and I just received a "sorry we inconvenienced you" response. After reading all the complaints on this website and on the BBB website and seeing the email they sent to my sister, I advised her not to sign up with them.
Intelius in Dallas, Texas - DOUBLE BILLED CREDIT CARD
Stay away from this company. Once you enter your email and credit card information even if you purchase one service which is available, they automatically start billing your credit card for a monthly service. Stay away from this company their services are not even through and their are lots of other companies that don't do this practice. The credit card company verified that they get a lot of complaints and denied charges from this account. When I called to have the charges removed they were indignant and even stated that "when you entered your email, for the one-time service you inadvertantly signed up". You enter your email becuase it is requested to get a receipt. Which is a complete admission that they set their web-site up to be deceptive.
Intelius is a scam
I signed up for 19.95 for a one time service. They charged me over $400. I called their tech support, and they did not tell me that I was signed up for 19.95 twice for indefinitely! I kept seeing this charge on my visa (19.95 twice), I figured they would be reputable and see I only used their service for one transaction and reimbursement for the overcharge. They saw I only used their service once but the still billed me over $400. Watch out for the their sneaky popups that automatically sign you up for continuous billing. Protest them by not using their service (what they provided you can find out free on the internet). Scam!
Intelius in Denver, Colorado - INTELLIUS IS A MAJOR SCAM!!
What was to be a $2.50 name lookup turned into $150. in charges. They hit my card 4 times in one day and multiple times after. Customer service does not exist. I encourage anyone who has been ripped off by these people to be pro-active and use every social media means to shut them down. Its obvious by the PR on the internet that they make enough money not to care, but its now up to the PISSED OFF consumer to put the truth out there. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING - FALSE BUSINESS PRACTICES AND BAD SERVICE UNDER THE PRETENSE OF A LEGITIMATE COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Intelius in Cincinnati, Ohio - Don't use Intellius
This service is a rip off and they add on all kinds of charges that you don't even want. When you go and try to change plans, their links do not work. When you buy a phone number reverse search it says they have the number and then they don't send it to you (24 -72 hrs). This is the worst money I have EVER spent. They are truly a rip off and as you click through, I think no matter if you say that you want the service or not they add it on. Save your money.
Intelius is a big scam
Intelius stated they had information, took my money, then failed to provide the information they advertised they could provide.. I was dissatisfied with their service and requested a refund. While they admitted they couldn't find any information for the phone number I gave them, they still refused to refund my $4.99USD. They apologized for any inconvenience, then offered a "free" credit report. That is a joke, as I'm legally entitled to a free credit report every year, from each reporting agency! I started my search on a website called VerifyPhone.com, but that was a front for Intelius.
