Intelius.com is a FRAUD!
I paid to get information about someone who owes us money. The most recent info they came up with was 2 years old. Totally useless as I know the individual moved 2 years ago. It's only been 2 months since this person dropped off the face of the earth. The phone numbers that I know to be current weren't even provided. I called and got customer service in India, of course. Not helpful at all. They refused to refund my money. Shame on them. Don't now how we're going to find him if their "professional" service couldn't...

Intelius is fraudulent
The fact that your office closed out my complaint is tantamount to the police telling a stop sign violator that they dropped charges since driver eventually did stop later that week. Can't the state of Washington realize that due to the sheer numbers of consumer complaints against Intelius that hundreds of victims can't all be accused of not being bright enough to click the proper button for the .95 one time special look-up and not "a club membership" for $19.95? I now consider the office of the Attorney Generals office complicit in the fraudulent practices commonplace to Intelius day to day business. I am also copy and pasteing this correspondence to the many blogs Googled as "Intelius Scam" Your State legislative branch is corrupt due to non-enforcement of Internet trade practices. They have the option of paying the full price, or a discounted promotional price which includes a 7 day trial in the Identity Protect subscription offered through Intelius. When a customer selects the promotional price, they are redirected to a full page display that describes in detail the benefits of the subscription and the terms and conditions of the offer. By choosing to proceed with the purchase at the promotional price, the customer agrees to the terms and conditions of the promotional offer. In this case, Mr. Ross accepted the promotional offer and signed up for the Intelius Identity Protect membership. Intelius in Portland, Oregon - Intellius: Blatant scam, absolutely the worst business experience I can remember.
I was searching for a reverse directory to look up a single land line phone# when I found a .99 cent offer on the Intellius web site. I entered the number and was assured by the site that they had the name. Consequently, I entered the requested personal data then looked up the number. I was very careful in not checking more boxes offering further services and making sure that none were checked automatically. After searching (no information was found for the phone number) I checked the account information and was outraged to find my checking account had been billed nearly $25.00 dollars for the failed search. There is no way I will ever go near this company again. In my opinion this is not business it is piracy. I saved all the data I could in a folder and I am sending it to the B.B bureau with a complaint, as well as taking it to my lawyer. After reading multiple revues of Intellius on the internet I believe these people should be sent to prison for the rest of their lives. If this isn't organized racketeering what the *** is it, and where the *** is the F. B. I.? This entire site is designed to steal money from massive numbers of people.
Intelius is a complete ripp off - information completely outdated
after signing up for membership under 7 day free trial only could obtain information that was over one year old and for another person no information could be obtained. System way outdated. Intelius does not deliver what company advertises and is complete scam. I can get more information from other free systems without paying the membership fee charged by Intelius. Also I did not sign up for premier but noticed I was charged for two memberships per months. This company is truly ripping off people. Would never use Intelius servcies again. Intelisus needs to deliver what they actually advertise in their adds.
Intelius in El Paso, Texas - Intellus - I too was ripped off by them ...
I did a search for the advertised $.99 special promotion - I later saw they not only took $.99 from my debit card account, but there were two more charges for $19.95 each - one for some identity protection which I NEVER signed for, and one for a subscription for $19.5 - which I also NEVER signed for. I have been promised a refund of $19.95 x 2. I also called my bank to complain about the unauthorized charges. I am waiting for the refunds now. This company is dishonest and they are thieves. NEVER use them EVER EVER!! EVER!!
Intelius in Amityville, New York - Ignorant, unwilling to help..
I have been going to L.R. in Hamilton NJ since they day it opened...they have certain rules about signing up for treadmills and ep machines...All I want to do is go and do my workout..ingnorant people dont sign up or listen to the rules. When this happens day after day ...its very annoying. Tell the front desk girl ..she does not care.. doesn't give two s...ts. If I had Lucille Roberts number I would call her and tell her to have people up front that at least pretend to care. SOOOOO RUDE!!! Hire someone that cares...Lucille...it is your NAME.
Ripped off by Intelius
in an attempt to locate and anonymous phone number that was texting me, i stumbled across an Intelius site that promised me information about the phone number. the site advertised an initial price of .99 cents. i agreed to the service, passed along my credit card info and immediately received and online invoice for $4.95. to add insult to injury, contrary to what the web site said, i was informed that they had no information about the phone number i was searching for. i complained about the jump from .99 to $4.95 and was promised a refund. 2 days later the company billed me for $19.95!!
They offer a free trial then charge your credit card without your consent. I just hung up with them and was able to get them to reverse 8 months of bogus charges. They are a P-O-S company. Everyone who is scammed by this business needs to file a complaint with the FBI....View full review
How to get my money back from Intelius
Yesterday I was trying to figure out a number which had been calling to my mobile phone. I looked it up on Google and found Intelius I paid 0.99c for a phone look-up by Intelius and they charged my 19.95 for a monthly subscription, which I did not consent Immediately today I called I told them I wanted my subscription canceled and my money refunded. How long it will take for the money to be refunded? I checked and did not see money coming back to my bank account yet. I guess I am quite desperate. But it is because I found out another post where people said they could not get their money back from Intelius.
