Intelius is a joke

I decided after multiple negatives at this job to call it quits, first when I was hired I was told I was being hired for a sales role which then turned into a customer service role. But what sent me over the edge was the fact they knew they were robbing people of their money and we could not refund them their money unless the customer mentioned the BBB or the Attorney General. They had an out source company in Indonesia and one day a customer called me and asked why he was still being charged $40.00 a month on his CC, he said he canceled it 7 months ago and talked to the out source people and they were suppose to cancel it. I placed him on hold and investigated it and the out source had notes on his account that said he called and canceled his account. The out source person who canceled his account didn't cancel it the correct way so the customer was still being billed, knowing that is was our companies fault that he was still being billed I contacted a manager to ask if we could refund the customer I showed the manager the notes of the out source rep saying he wanted to cancel and that they messed up some how by not closing his account down. My manager said we could do nothing even though it was our fault. I pleaded for the customer because he was out almost $300.00 because of us they still said we can't refund him his money. This was the straw that broke the camels back it happened all the time we made a mistake and the customers have to pay for it. I quit within the week.

Intelius - requested more $s for more info

I requested a background report for a person I know quite well. I wanted to see if there was any negative information reported that was incorrect. First it started with a tease of information; then for $39.95 I could get a more detailed report, which I accepted; then they wanted an additional $19.95 for criminal history report. I charged the membership fees and received the "report". It was a joke! The little information I received is public information in the state of California. I submitted their survey form - detailing how I believe they just kept leading me to sites that wanted more money.

Intelius in Edinburg, Texas - INTELUIS

I had cancelled my services with Inteluis back in February. I kept getting card $19.95 and I decided enough is enough. I disputed those charges thinking at least the credit card company would help me which they did because I was not charged for last month. My bill for June came and guess what that charge of $19.95 is on my bill. I had ENOUGH. I called this week to closed my credit card and I paid off my debt. I get a $19.95 charged from Inteluis two days after I closed my account, I am steamming MAD!

Intelius.com - don't trust

I say don't trust this information based solely on the fact that they believe my father is still alive and want to charge me how ever much money for a background check. He died in 1991 at the age of 32. It's 2012. I'm pretty sure he isn't alive and well living in El Cajon, California. What kind of background check information site doesn't check their sources enough to know that someone has been dead for two decades? And they say he's affiliated with my mother under their married name, which she changed also in 1991 when she remarried. Obviously a sham company that wants your money for zero service. Save your money, don't bother!

Intelius will not cancel membership

I only used Intelius once for a search. I wanted out so I cancelled the services at the end of January 2012. I am being charged $19.95 a month for services that I am not using. I keep sending them emails that I cancelled in January but still being charged. I have contacted my credit card company to settle but do not know if matter will be resolved anytime soon. Has any contacted the Better Business Bureau or another form of complaint besides this site? They are just as bad as Sirius who will not give me a refund either.

Intelius is a fraud

I conducted one people search and they signed me up for a useless ID Protection and charged me $19.95 a month for two years. Now they refuse to refund my money. This is a fraud and they should be shut down. The billing is so vague on the credit card account you don't really notice it. They claim that you agreed when you did the people search to sign up but that is BS. They are simply a fraud. No services were ever provided for the ID protection. No one should ever do business with this company. They are bad news.

Intelius in Orlando, Florida - FRAUD

I USED INTELIUS JUST ONE TIME AND JUST FOUND OUT THAT WITHOUT MY PERMISSION WITHDRAWING MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT 19$ EVERY MONTH FOR THE LAST 8 MONTHS. FOR SURE I M NEVER GONNA USE THIS COMPANY AND NEVER ENTER CREDIT CARD INFO IN THEIR SYSTEM.THEY HAVE BEEN WITHDRAWING MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT ANY REASON. I STRONGLY CONDEMN AND THINK THAT THEIR SURVICES SHOULD BE REASSESSED BY A GOVERNMENTAL AGENCY AND IF FOUND GUILTY SHOULD BE TRIALED IN COURT SO NO ONE IN FUTURE WILL EVER DO INTERNET FRAUD. I DONT KNOW WHY LICENSING AGENCIES DO NOT INVESTIGATE SUCH PEOPLE WHO ARE DOING THIS KIND OF INTERNET FRAUD OPENLY.

Intelius doesn't suck. IT'S A SCAM. I wish I had read this before spending a cent.

I tried a reverse phone search through Intelius. It's a week later now and I have no report. C'mon! It's just a scam. I mean, in this modern age it doesn't take a week to do a reverse phone number search. I think Intelius' search team is a room full of chimps jumping up and down on computer keyboards and hoping against hope that they might randomly be successful. I didn't even try to get a refund because I'm sure they've already sold my credit card number to some Eastern European crime ring. Don't use this company.
